Albums that are fun to listen to

For me, this is the ultimate:

It's crap compared to NMTB, but it's so entertaining (assuming you skip the McLaren tracks). The Johnny B. Goode breakdown always makes me smile, and the juvenile asides in the title track are great ("Elvis Presley died in 1959, Ian Dury, ****ney fraud").



Runner up:

This, and Vol. 3, are two of the very few albums I can listen to over and over again. The songs are cheesy, and Lynne's production is arguably inappropriate, but it feels so good!

Are you sure this is fun? There are some great riRAB on here but I think this has'nt aged particulary well, especially the vocals. I was a little disappointed when I heard it a few years ago after a long hiatus.

Agree on the Lightning Bolt. That album is a load of fun.


The vocals used to put me off a few years back, but nowadays I think they're some of my favourite thrash vocals. There's something that's so deranged and psychotic about them.

I have to say, the transition is hilarious. At the end of Roadrunner, Johnny asks, "Do we know any other f---ing people's songs?" and then the disco beat of Anarchy kicks in. Classic!
