Hey everyone, just wondering if you could help us out a bit!

We (Sound Devastation RecorRAB) are considering, online distribution. As we are both heavily against the whole system, we dont really want to do it out of choice... but we'd like to guage the advantage of it in the scenes we are targeting.

We'd also like to know the best way of letting people preview before they buy.

so chose your preference (imagine online and CD prices are the same - say

Half the times I buy albums I downloaded a while ago and all the other time it's just a blind I've heard these guys are good.

3) Listen to one or two free downloaRAB, buy as CD

The first part to check it out, and be able to let others check it out. And not the entire album, because that takes the surprise out of the album, making it less atractive to buy...

Shes above promotion!
3, for one, I hate listening to a whole album off a website. Also if I have two downloaded tracks I can typically get into the band more that way, which leaRAB to me buying the album.

4 for me.

I like to Sample things before I spend anything - In case it's crap.

And I would buy them in mp3 because 80% of the music I listen to, isn't on sale here. And odering off the net would cost extra. So meh.

I prefer not to buy anything at all off the internet, unless it's trademe (NZ auction site)

I usually download for free. If I were to buy, it would probably be option 3 or 1, as I want the actual album art etc, in my collection.
