have a 92-93 buick LeSabre with a 3800. started shaking while idling and under the hood is a hissing noise. ran a hose to the top right hand corner of the back valve cover right near the plastic power steering res. and noticed that the hiss is coming from that area. the only thing in that area are metal lines...to the power steering. the pvc was just replaced a month ago and the hiss isn't that. could the power steering pump be faulty causing shaking while idling and poor acceleration and even worse shaking? I can't see too well down in the area but it seems the hiss is coming from right underneath that corner where the back valve cover (top right) meets the plastic res box for the power steering. underneath the PS pulley are metal lines. I felt them and didn't notice anything unusual. 'preciate your time and help. thanks
the pvc valve doesn't sit inside the valve cover on the 3800 buick lasabre; it sits inside a container which i think is a part of the upper manifold, and you attach a metal plate over it
