Air intake in a 95 Toyota Celica GT?

When I got my car the air intake was still the stock, and the tubing from the tubing was cut. I put in a short Ram intake in replacement of the broken oem part. There are no cold air intakes I could find. Is the Ram Intake have any disadvatages?
 
short ram just gets warm air and about 2-8hp...while the cold air gets cooler air and gets about 5-12hp...but in the rain, the shart ram will not be affected while the cold air will suck up the water....
