Air in Radiator on 1989 Ford T-Bird 3.8 V6?

Each morning I am having to add 6-8 oz of antifreeze. The bigger problem is that air is being introduced into the system somehow. I have noticed also that while the car is running and the radiator cap is off, air bubbles continue until I power the engine off. This is raising havoc with my heating system and temperature Gage. No overheating, but temp rises and falls sharply while heat comes and goes. If this is something serious (head gasket) is there something I could temporarily put in place to release air continuously? I need to get through another 2 months with this car?

Engine has 125,000 miles. I was told when I bought the car that the head gasket was replaced around 80k miles.

Sounds like engine exhaust leaking into the coolant system. A repair shop can sniff the radiator filler neck to detect the hot exhaust gases. You could try a head sealing product, but don't expect it to work. I think that engine is known for head gasket problems - search google to see. See the tech notes on head gasket problems below. It may be time for a new car.
