Thank you, Lizzylu (my name is actually Liz, too!)! I concur, must be swollen sinuses or something.

Today, no Zyrtec, makes me too drowsy after a few days. Trying to survive on Nasonex and my eyedrops.

Good luck!!!

I suffer from year round allergies/sinusitis.....HOWEVER, between May and end of July, I am at my worst.

It's A/C.

Can anyone relate to this? It would make me feel better to know there are others and to find out what you do to cope beside popping a Zyrtec and trying to call it good.

I go into a major supermarket/super center in my neck of the wooRAB. Between the bright florescent lighting and the recently polished floors and the AC, I feel horrible itchy, burny eyes and I can't focus...I feel like I am underwater, everthing seems to have a blurry, bright aura around it because of the glare from all the lights and my eye allergies (I'm assuming). I can't read labels because the more I try to focus, the more OUT of focus my vision becomes and my eyes only tear up and water. I feel dizzy. It starts to make me feel claustrophic and I always need to hurry up and get out.

I don't have issues with the AC (actually worse without) but have had a horrible week with my sinuses. Almost enough discomfort to call the doc (fearing sinus infection). I've also had a hernia flare up today..which isn't necessarily a bad thing since i see the GI doc today.

Hi Annie! I don't know if I have any problem with the air conditioning, but I have all the other symptoms you do. Dizzy, water eyes, ....all that stuff and then it makes anxiety come on. Try to take a deep breath. I always feel like I have to run somewhere or get out when the anxiety starts happening. That is a classic symptom. Hang in there!

I'm so sorry! That sucks! It's like it all hits at once!

Hope you are okay and all goes well with the doctor!

After a while I don't know what's worse? Spacey in the head or accute pain!

I have never really had any issues with indoor allergies. This summer, my allergies are all indoors. Any place that is air conditioned. I can go outside while my hubby is mowing the lawn and feel better than I do indoors. Weird huh?

And even in my car or at work, with the AC on, I am miserable.

Thank you!! Maybe it's even cleaning products they use or something! I know I went into Target at lunch, got bad, came out, was better, tried not to turn on car A/C, got into office where it was BLASTING and feel awful again!

At least it's not just me! Thank you!!

Maybe you are allergic to the chemical or something used in airconditioning... like antifreeze?? I am not sure. Or sometimes the airconditioning actually keeps up and blows out dust from the vents. It's so hard to figure out.

Well after having had enough, I finally went to the ENT.
He gave me Rhinocort nasal spray, a week of Prednisone and told me to take one Sudafed every 12 hrs (the behind the counter kind).

I have been doing that and nasal irrigation for 3 days - and I have finally been absolutely clear for 3 days. No sneezing, no congestion. Feeling great!!!
:D

Hi there,
You're not alone. For the past week or so I've been dealing with head pressure, watery eyes, watery nose and dizziness too! I guess I've developed some allergies. The air conditioning bothers me too and whatever is in the air at this time of year. What is it? Mold? I'm in the North East. The dizziness bothers me the most because it starts to make me anxious. I'm in air conditioning right now at work and it's making my eyes and nose water like crazy. I'm assuming it's the sinus pressure making me dizzy. Hopefully it will go away soon. Just deal with it and be patient, I guess.
