When Instant Messaging a cellphone via AOL Instant Messenger it now asks the cell phone recipient if they want to accept or decline a txt msg, where they have to respond to the message with a letter to acknowledge the prompt. Does anyone have an idea of the retention of these messages? In other words, if i send someone a txt message, and they check their phone 6 hours later and see the AOL msg prompt, will they receive the message if they choose to accept or will the content no longer be available? I'm sure this is a difficult question with maybe no real answer...but if anyone has any idea I woudl appreciate it...I can't imagine the retention of the messages is any more than a few hours but was hoping it might be longer. Any help is appreciated.
