I'm not going to abuse him with it or anything like that, but I use it in case he rears up at me or strikes out and me or charges me (he has done all of these things) and today I was working with him and I had the crop in my boot as a precaution. My Grandma saw it and made me put it up even though she has saw him strike out at me once, she doesn't believe me when I told her that he rears up at me and that he charged me a couple days ago. She's seen him rear up at my trainer, and Olivia has seen him rear up at me. When I told her "remember when he reared up at Katlin that one time? He does that to me, too!" and you know what she said? "I haven't seen him do that, and if he did you were doing something wrong to make him mad." Well, I think I should be able to lunge, ride, pet, love on him without him rearing up at me! How do I convince her to let me have a crop out there with me?
