...skeptics' side of the debate? I think this idea,

...that the warming at the poles is due to an increase in undersea volcanic activity and this increase is caused by a planetary conjunction...

...is the strangest that I've seen, but I am a relative newcomer. There must be more...

...what is your favorite?
Jeepndd... Okay pole if you prefer, the point is that there is no evidence for extra volcanic activity to cause the warming.

To say that something has happened without evidence is bad enough but to sugest a chance alignment of two or more planets is responsible? Well that is just absurd!

I would have thought that even most skeptics would agree with that!

That would be pole not poles. He isn't arguing that Antarctica is shrinking and no one should as satellite mapping has shown Antarctica is not only growing it has been doing so for at least a decade. I don't claim to be an expert on geothermics or volcanology but if you just do a little research you would see that the largest area of volcanic activity on the planet runs along to pacific rim. This activity has created thousands of islands in the Pacific and there are many times that number of vents that are active but have not and may not ever crest the surface of the ocean. Why disregard this theory with no knowledge or understanding of it?
