We've been conducting a small war here . . . OK, Dropshort and I . . . about the HORRENDOUS practices of Iambic charging $9.95 when poor Dropshort only purchased 7.06 a matter of a month or so ago.
I'm sick and tired of the constant $9.95s -- I've been a user since 5.35.
Now you're telling me that for the extra $10 (which as Moderator SOS pointed out comes close to $50, aggregate cost, for the software!) . . . The wallpaper doesn't work.
Man alive - it's more than no "trained debuggers;" -- it's absolutely stupidity and greed. I would venture a guess that there are more T1 and T2 owners, currently, than ALL PALM MODEL OWNERS COMBINED . . . probably including Palm IIIs and the 500 Series.
What, did they forget? Again citing SOS, 7.06 was really a beta for the "new" 8.0, and they STILL haven't got it right -- sure want their money though, don't they?
Worst of all, they tout the "wallpaper" as one of the biggest selling points to people . . . . and then can't deliver.
We're all supposed to be supportive on this forum of software developers . . . and some of the FREEWARE authors do a better job!! Amazing -- and maddening.
In disgust, I tried Datebk5 -- and sadly, it's no match for Agendus. They've got us by the short hairs if you ask me, although a lot of people on here swear by Datebk. To me there's no comparison in visual quality, ease of entry and features; Agendus easily wins by (IMHO) 3 to 1. I just think it's awful they're scarping every last dime they can, basically charging people 50% of a new application price every 6 weeks - and they just can't deliver.
Wonder what we could do as a group to CHANGE that?
