Age of empires III or Civilization IV?

I know these games are kind of old but still. Which do you recommend. Here are some details about what I like:

-Micro managing (I like having control over every little thing)
-Deep gameplay (more varied unites, more varied buildings etc...)

Thats really it. I played AOE II and it was one of my favorite games of all time. I played Civ Revolution and liked it, but I know that it is a lot different from the other civ games

What do you think? I am getting this for a mac so i can only get 1, since the prices are high.

oh and black and white is a beast game but u dont have a lot to do

and rome total war is pretty aight too
