Age of Empires III or Civilization 3?

Can anyone tell me which game-Age of Empires III or Sid Meier's Civiliaztion-is a better game? Base it on the freedom you have to develop your civilization/empire, the graphic quality, and how fun and interesting it is. Please only input if you have played BOTH games. Thanks!
 
Civ 3 is much better. I thought AOE 3 was very limiting, and a little more combat oriented, so you couldn't focus on winning via other means or building your economy, or exploring. Graphics might be better on AOE 3, but Civ 3 wins at everything else.
