Aftermarket stereo installation 04 monte carlo?

I purchased a Sony CDX-GT240 stereo. I am trying to connect it to my 2004 Monte Carlo.
I tried doing it and it was showing no illumination. can someone let me know if its possible to install it, before I give up and return it.

Please let me know what harnesses and interface is needed for this.
