Aftermarket Belt Pulley...

This may be a dumb question, but bear with me...

I plan on getting a 2:1 exhaust next month and now my stock belt pulley will be visible. I want to get an aftermarket pulley to match my rims, you know, complete the look, but I have a couple of questions.

1. How do I know what size, how many teeth, etc.?
2. I have an 08, so will I be able to use IDS with an aftermarket pulley?
3. Does Harley make a chrome type cover I can use on my stock pulley?
4. Anything I haven't considered?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Unless your on the ground its not going to be as noticable as one might think. I'd worry about it after the new pipes on, may decide it no big deal and spend the money somewhere else. Just my 2 cents.

1 & 2. Yours should be a 66 tooth pulley, you may want to go larger, it will give the bike a little more power at the low end and make 6th gear more usable at 60 MPH. Here is a link you might be interested in.

Thanks for the responses...Phat09, you may be right about not noticing it much, but I'm kinda obsessed, so I may just go with one of the covers since I don't want to lose the IDS...

Thanks for the links piasspj, they were very helpful.
