After I go round a corner it feels like the cars steering from the rear...?

The car is a 1998 Citroen Xantia 2.0 I4 Exclusive. When I go round a corner it steers fine (a bit vague due to a slightly worn track rod end on the N/S and a very worn track rod end on the O/S), but when I straighten the wheel it feels like it's steering from the rear. Let me explain; it's like the rear is swinging out, but it's not skidding. After a quick correction of opposite steering it's fine. This only seems to happen when it's in SOFT SUSPENSION mode. But I barely use the FIRM SUSPENSION mode so I could be wrong. What would be wrong with it ? As if I turn a violent corner at over 45MPH, the rear "wandering" actually CAUSES a skid! I've had to get my old rally driving skills out again since driving this car! Haha. So if anyone knows please tell me, and how much will it cost to fix ?
