after a month?

ive been on accutane for almost a month now. what should i be seeing after a month? i know it takes a while to really see a difference, but i wanted to know what other people experienced after only a month. i have noticed i dont break out as bad as i was, but i still have the little red marks left over from old acne...grrr...
 
For me, after my first month (on a half dose), I noticed that a lot of the blotchiness seemed to go away. Also, in the way of breakouts, I was getting more cysts, but my breakouts were generally more controlled. According to my derm, I'm making above average progress...my cholesterol also skyrocketed though, so don't be too jealous. :-\

It usually takes up to 6 months for the Accutane to actually work, and supposedly it can get much worse before it gets better. Talk to your dermatologist about it if you're concerned, but otherwise I would just wait it out. It works differently for everyone.
 
My son just finished his 4th week of Accutane 40 mg/day. His face flared up at first, then started to dry up alot. Suddenly, about a week ago, his face did a complete turnaround, seemingly overnight. Every single cyst was gone from his face, the swelling was gone, his skin was flat again. I never expected it to work so fast but it did, and I am still in shock.

Don't give up - it really can change suddenly and for the better. He's living proof of that. :)
