AF is one day late should I wait any longer to test?

We have been TTC for 15 months, and AF is one day late. My cycle has played tricks on me before, but lately its been regular. Should I wait a couple more days to test? If you think today would give an accurate result do you think it would matter if its not FMU? (I want to test tonight). Any suggestions on which HPT to go for? I am so excited/anxious, but trying not to get my hopes up too much. Thanks, and Babydust! **
 
You could test today an should get an accurate result if you don't want to spend the money on a test then I would wait a couple days to see if af comes. They say that if you wait till the day of missed period it doesn't matter what time a day you test now if you were to test 5 days before then morning pee would be best. Just make sure you don't drink anything for 2 hours and I always buy first response but any brand will do.
