Hi - I run a small consulting firm (revenue 5-10 mn) based in the US with an office overseas. I'd like to share equity with employees, largely to retain and reward excellent employees. the partners in the firm are silent, and I'm responsible for running the firm.
I have limited knowledge on equity/profit sharing and am seeking advise on the matter.
I'm looking for advise on the following:
- what are the various options available that would help in rewarding and retaining employees. We give out commissions, but we're looking for options beyond commissions, as they apply mostly to employees related to sales and account development.
- what are the pros and cons of various options
- what type of consultants can help me with this? what is the typical cost of undergoing such an initiative.
