Hey guys, just before i say this I would like to thank anyone who gives me advice.

Right I went to the dentist a while ago about 3 tooth I had decaying, there was nothing wrong but the reason I went is because I started getting terrible tooth ache, all was well he saved 2 of my teeth with filling, but one he said he wanted to take out, but there some trouble and didn't want to go back, the pain went just before I'd been to the dentist so I assumed my own blood cells fought off the infection. So for half a year it's been ok, but then it came back, I knew what would happen so I waited it out and sure enough, I had the pain, but the blood drained through my rotten teeth It was strained but the pain dissepeared instantly, it happened again a week later but was over in about 2 hourrs, so I was confident about it, but this time it is bad, I have it again I have an appointment for the dentist to take the tooth out this tuesday, but I am having real pains and having to take constant pain killers, but thats not all, the real thing is, the blood cells that must have fought my infectin, are finding a place to drain but they can not, I have a lump on my cheek at the bottom gum, visible but not without telling someone about it. And a small lump under that at the neck and sometime it is hard to swallow, also this at the beggining of this day my breath started to smell bad like rotten like the saliva in my mouth, is this maybe the blood draining through saliva glands if that is what they are, but the lump is not changing I think it may have got bigger, I thought the blood would have drained by now, but it is not, I am afraid it may get bigger, and theres nothing I can do as I cannot get an appointment eariler. I am only 15 and it is a little worrying, is there a way to force the drain ?

Any adivce would be reassuring thank you.

You need to go to an emergency clinic or hospital. It sounds like you have a raging infection and need to have an antibiotic prescribed. You will need to take the antibiotic and get the infection under control before the dentist can take out the tooth.

If this is a serious abscess, it could spread throughout your system (sounds like it could already be in your glands). My best friend was started on I.V. antibiotics right there in the emergency room and the tooth was pulled on the spot. She took oral antibiotics for ten days after to fight the infection. She was running a 102 degree fever, it had abscessed that bad and had a yellow pus pocket on the inside of her cheek.

I do not mean to scare you but abscesses affect people differently. I am one of the lucky ones who does not get really sick from them but my friend and my husband get very ill.

Best of luck!

I have never really got sick, this is probably the worst I've had ever from them, I beleive, it may be an infection, as when I push it really hard it releases a small amount of blood from the rotten tooth, and then will not be able to do it for a while, and I feel it is getting bigger.

Dear Andrew, So, your point would be?..... You've never really been very sick? Please go to the ER or you will know what it is like to be very sick, and you'll be kicking yourself.... you sound pretty educated, but not experienced. I am. Please go.
