Advice on scanning a document in to photoshop. Antique Document.?

Long story short... When my great grandfather came to the US at the turn of the century, he started a Masonary Company. Eventually he offered shares of stock in the company. He and my grandfather worked the company until the 60's.

I was going through an old box of stuff and found a $100.00 share of stock in the company.

It is in almost perfect condition and I want to scan it in to the computer, touch it up, print it out, frame it, and give a copy to my Grandma and Father for their birthdays.

The problem is that the paper is rather thin and it is 2 sided so when I scan it in to the computer, the image on the other side shows through and there is enough anti-fraud designs on the certificate that removing the dark green 'show through' will take longer then I feel it is worth to go in freaking pixel by pixel to clean it up.

Can anyone offer some advice on how to clean up the certificate?

(I want to make a copy so I can put the copy to show, keep the origional inside the frame where it can't degrade in the light.)

Oh... And the company was sold years ago... This has no monetary value as far as I know... This is just for the sentimental value. I'm not trying to make anything but a family keepsake.
