Can someone please advise as to which type of rods to buy for my sons to start them off with their fishing hobby that they are getting into.
My sons want 2 rods set up when they go night fishing in a couple of weeks and i don't want to look totally blonde if i go to a shop to buy one and ebay has some good deals but i don't know where to start........
They want one set up on ledgering and one on float, they both recently bought a 8ft spinning rod and reel set each and have apparently tried them out on both techniques and said it was ok (they caught some 5lb carp) but im not sure what is the best purpose for this type of rod and am totally over whelmed looking on websites when they refer to match rods and specialist rods etc etc, they are going to be fishing for mainly carp on lakes, so can someone pls advise me as to a good set up for each type of fishing (float and legering) so i know what they should be using the current spinners for and what to buy for the other type also any other advice / info / links will be much appreciated from all you expert fisherman out there,
