advice on buying a car?

im wanting to buy this peugeot 106 on ebay, it looks in good condition fewer minor scrapes here and there, the owner hasnt got the logbook but has got a keepers slip? is this something i should be worried about thanks
 
The FIRST thing DVLA tell you is - NO LOG BOOK - DO NOT BUY...

That car could have been doing the rounds with any number of people without being registered....

You have been warned

BUT - you can ring DVLA and ask them about the car and any known history......OR you can use the vehicle check on Ebay - it is worth it before buying as it will give you the history of the car......
 
dont buy any car until you see it in realife and preferably drive it you know the usual thing,s rust etc excessive wear on the interior{ has it been taxied} get the engine warm is the engine running smooth any claky noises take care enjoy your motoring{also is the guy selling so quick that he himself has not got docs back from dla get whats called a hpi check the big motoring assn can do this for you

and if you cant follow either one best you look for another really not wise to buy one you cant check or drive before paying just not wise unless you like that picture to hangs on wall since you dont know there is a car at all your just looking at a picture cant buy a car that way
