Advice needed on doing a solo gig for the first time.?

I'm still in high school with little experience for playing for people. I want to do a piano/singing solo gig for a restaurant, for free but I have no idea where to start. I want to play music from the classic rock era.
What songs should I do?
How many songs should I do?
How do I get a gig?
Should I ask instrumentalists to help?
