Advice needed for second phone

I'm mostly happy with my Nokia GAIT phone and Cingular plan, and it's perfect for travel needs. But the phone is large and I'm tired of it hanging from my belt. What I'd like to have is something smaller that I could slip in my pocket for around town, but keep my GAIT phone and then use it when I'm traveling. Is it possible to use two phones simply by switching the SIM card from one to the other?

If so, what would be a good second phone? It would need to be GSM (I don't need the GAIT feature for around town), and I'd prefer either a folding or sliding phone so I don't have to use the key lock feature. I don't care about ringtones, cameras or color screens. A decent condition used phone would be o.k.

I really like the PC link software from Nokia, so I can simply download phone numbers from Outlook into my phone. (My understanding is that Motorola still doesn't offer anything comparable?) A decent-sized memory would be good.

Thanks!

So do you want the new phone to hold alot of things like pictures and music files? If so I recommend the Motorola V635. It has a great solid and durable feel and it has good features like 1.3MP cam,EDGE,Expandable Memory and i also has great reception and battery life.

Thanks for the suggestion. The only reason I'd like a large memory is to hold a lot of phone numbers. I won't be using the new phone to store photos or music.

Motorola offers (usually) 1000 contacts stored on the phone book.

You can also sync your Motorola phone with Motorola Mobile PhoneTools to your Microsoft Outlook.

I would recommend yes a V635i, or something else good like RAZR, SLVR, etc.

I didn't know Motorola now offered software to link to Outlook. I like the Razr, but it's more than I was planning to spend. Perhaps I'll see if Cingular might offer me a free or discounted Razr if I extend my contract. Thanks!
