First off, I have an 02 RKC with 42K miles. Stage 1, Daytona Twin Tec fuel mgr, 510g gear driven S&S kit installed about 33k with SE adj pushrods. I did notice a nice increase in torque after the gear drive but I'm wanting a little more now. I've talked to a company about their big bore kits with keith black pistons. I told him that I really didn't have extra $$ at this time to have any headwork but wanted a little more torque for the mountain roads here in N. GA and when loaded with the gear and the misses. I also told him that #1 priority was long-term reliability (as I would like to get t least 100k out of the engine). He asked me how many miles I ride each year and I said about 15k. I also mentioned that I saw the 97" bore online. He recommended the 95" vs the 97". He also said that he would recommend about 9.8:1 compression for the pistons. Also he mentioned a gasket kit (.40 head). Total price 475.00 incl shipping. Cylinders/pistons 350.00, gasket set $100.00, shipping $25.00 My indy is going to install for $200.00. He estimated about 85-90 hp/tq with this set up. The bike has never seen a dyno or been tuned. Any advice/comments would be appreciated. Thanks,
