I had a posterior TLIF of L5S1 about 5 weeks ago. I was healing well, sore but fine was able to walk and move slowly through my day. A week ago I walked a little too far/fast, started getting sore in hip area in the front, then got a shooting pain across my hips. Doc and PT said that my SI joint was inflamed and to rest, problem, I could not lie horizontal without shooting pain every time I tried to roll/move. Propped myself on the couch and could sleep, week later still sleeping propped up.

This weekend it progressed to shooting when standing, walking, or lying down. I upped my pain meRAB and muscle relaxers to the max and really laid low. I am starting to turn the corner and not spasm as much. Other issues included menstrual cramps and constipation to add to the 'party' making it a perfect storm. Any suggestions about the duration or stretches/positions to improve? I know I will have good days and bad but it seems I went from I'm great to I cant stand the pain, way too fast. I realize now that my L5S1 is fixed the other joints have to learn to adjust. I am having a difficult time reading my body and how to pace myself. Also my family is mad that I sent myself so far back by overdoing again when I thought I was taking it slowly forward, only walking, no lifting bending etc...

I would welcome any similar experiences and suggestions
