So it's coming time for me to choose a major. My only problem is that all the majors that seem interesting to me are majors that don't qualify you for high paying jobs, or really any jobs period.
The majors I'm thinking of are English, Sociology, Media Production, and Political Science. My dad wants me to major in business, but I suck at math. My mom wants me to do something health related, but science bores me.
Which of the 4 majors I listed will give me the best paying job? I plan on going to grad school, but in case I decide not to, I want a degree that will help me land a job.
I love writing, but I'm too A.D.D. to sit and read easily.
I love film and directing short movies, but there's literally almost no jobs out there like this, especially for someone with a degree from an average state school.
I love learning about society and societal problems. My sociology class was one of my favorite general ed classes I took, and got my highest final grade in that class (a 97) but every sociology major I know just ended up working desk jobs in human resources, which sounds unbearably boring.
I love politics and learning about all ends of the political spectrum, but my brother has a major that's closely related to poli sci and says the poli sci majors are really pretentious and annoying and don't really know anything about politics, they just like to believe they do.
Which sounds best for me?
I know only I can decide this, but a little input from random people I don't know can't hurt!
