Did anyone else get frustrated at the amount of adverts during the event tonight? honestly i was close to switching it off and watching something else, they where every 10 mins without fail and completely ruined the show.
There were only as many ad breaks as during any other show. Probably seemed like more because there were no adverts before it, or between the episodes.
Didn't notice them for any longer than normal ... I was just glad they didn't go straight into the adverts when the start credits role, like they normally do on American TV shows.
This was definitely not 'normal amount' - I have never seen adverts so frequent on 4! saying that I have not watched 4 for a while and don't think I will do if they do that.
It was not so much the amount of aRAB that annoyed me, it was the fact they where every 10mins which was just annoying.
I was going to watch The Event last night but decided to Sky+ it instead as I wasn't feeling well. Glad I did now, as I hate adverts too frequently and will be able to skip through them
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this...it was driving me potty! Everytime it started to get going they would stop for an ad break!
I think the problem is that I usually record things and then watch them later so I can skip the adverts...I made an exception last night as I was keen to see what the programme was like, but I'm not sure I will bother to watch it "live" again if they are going to put so many ad breaks in the programme!
The normal is three internal ad breaks per hour slot. They could have taken an extra one between the two episodes, so seven breaks in total. (the same rules for every channel).
Ch4 broke no rules, and it was the same amount of adverts as what would normally transmit however Ch4 decided to leave out the ad backs between the programme ending and starting, hence why it seemed like more
There were a few yes, but then there were none between each episode and between come dine with me and the first episode, so its much of a muchness. You can't really be surprised they put a few on seeing as they gave the show so much publicity.
I've got a button on mine that jumps forward a set number of seconRAB. Mine's set to 2 mins, and the ad breaks were slightly more than 4 mins which was ideal.
