Adoption of Children

Adoption has been around for a long time. There are families that want children and can not have them. These families have the option to adopt children that have either been abandoned, orphaned, or their parents just can’t take care of them.
Many children are adopted each year. Their parents might have abandoned them, they might have been taken away from their parents, or their parents might realize that they could not give their child the life they want for them. Two parents, just one, or even parents of the same sex can adopt children. Adoption poses a positive alternative to families that are unable to care for their child, thus providing an option for individuals that cannot have children of their own.
There are a lot of people that try to be secretive when they know someone is adopted. They feel negative child is not biologically related to their family. What they do not understand is that being adopted was the best thing that could have happened to that child. It, for some can provide, the child the opportunity to grow up with parents and family that loves them just like one of their own. People should stop trying to hide the fact that they are adopted, or someone they know is, and instead be proud of it. There are several situations that constitute a need for adoption.
There are many couples that are unable to have children of their own. Adoption allows those couples to experience and enjoy parenthood. Most of the time it is not their choice that they can not have children. They can try everything that is offered medically to get pregnant, and still not succeed. Adopting a child can then become a positive alternative, and it also gives the child a good home with people eager to be good parents. It is a miracle to the parents when they hold their new child because they are given a chance to be a parent.
There are same sex couples that it is physiologically impossible to get pregnant, but they still want to be parents. Adoption gives them the opportunity to raise a child and to be a parent. There are people who do not think it is right for same sex couples to be able to adopt a child, but if that child does not get adopted they may never experience what love is. Parents are defined as; a father or a mother; a source, origin, or cause. Parenting is defined as; the rearing of children by parents. Can’t these two people give love?
There are many reasons why children are released for adoption. The child could be orphaned, they could be in foster homes, the mother might not be ready to raise the child, or the parents of the child might not be able to care for the child properly. No matter what the reason is, adoption should be looked at as a good thing. It allows the child to be raised in the best environment possible. It gives them the chance to be loved and to learn how to love someone else.
When a child is in a foster home or is orphaned getting them adopted is very difficult. It is a lot harder for older kiRAB to get adopted. Most people want new babies, because a lot of the older children come with emotional baggage. They also feel like the child is more their own if they get it when it is younger. Many children that are in foster homes get tossed from home to home and never stay with their foster parents long enough to trust them enough to feel what love is like. Adoption helps ensures that a child will stay in a home long enough to know what love feels like. It allows a child to experience what a family is like.
Many young women get pregnant and feel trapped. Their dreams and goals vanish when they find out that they are going to have a baby. There are not that many options for them to use. Adoption is one option that lets them still achieve their dreams and goals, and they can rest easy knowing that their child will be taken care of and lead a good life. Some couples might get pregnant and not be ready to take care of the child, whether it is because of financial reasons, or they just are not ready. Adoption gives them the option of giving their child the life they want for it.
There are a lot of things that have to be dealt with when you adopt. Most children that are adopted will wonder about their biological parents. These feelings are normal and good; children should wonder where they come from. The questions that they ask may be hard to answer. It is all apart of the adoption process and something that comes along with adopting a child.
I have a friend who found out that she was pregnant and she was not ready for it. She was not extremely young and she did have a college degree, but she knew that she could not give her child the life that she wanted for him. She made the decision, while she was pregnant, to release her child up for adoption. It was one of the hardest things that she had to do, but she knows that it was the best thing that she could have done for her child. Adoption gave her the option to give her child the kind of life she wanted for him.
My father adopted me. I know that it was one of the best things that have ever happened to me. My biological father was not able to care for me, and so my mother’s new husband adopted me and called me his own. He loves me like his own child. I was able to grow up with a father, and experience what a father’s love feels like. I never question his love for me. While I was growing up I knew that I was adopted. My parents made it a point for me to know and to understand why. I never felt cheated out of a father. I did wonder about my biological father, but I didn’t dwell on it because I did not have that part of my life missing. I have a father who loves me and to me that is the greatest gift that I could ever ask for.
Some people choose not to tell their child that they are adopted. This can have more severe consequences than actually telling them; because if they somehow find out that they are adopted the trust between the child and their adoptive parents can be lost. I was told that I was adopted and I know that I respect my parents a lot more for telling me. I know that I would not have as much respect for them if they had kept it from me.
One of the best things about adopting a child is that that child gets all of the benefits that a biological child would receive. They are not looked at any different in the laws eyes, so they should not be looked at differently in peoples eyes. They are getting the opportunity to have and live with a family. The child that is adopted does not know any different than the family that they are living with. To them that is all they have. No one should think that it is bad that they are adopted. They should look at it as a blessing for that child to be able to experience what family life is like.
Adoption is a great option for those releasing and those receiving. It not only gives the child a family, but it helps everyone involved by giving parents a child and letting the biological parents know that their child will be taken care of and loved. Adoption is the correct alternative in either situation in order to provide the best results for that child. Having experienced it personally I am committed to letting others know that adoption can be a living, loving option.
