By ambient do you mean the post-rockish stuff like Eluvium, Hammock, Epic45, and the like or the electronic/chillout stuff like BOC, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Biosphere, etc.?

RATM : ambient is ambient. But chillout is also a part of it.
