Adobe Photoshop Elements 8?

I was thinking of buying Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.
It's really expensive, so I was wondering. . .
Is it good photo editing software?
I was wondering the same about the video editing too.
I just don't want to be wasting money (:

Photoshop is one of the best photo editing programs out there. But personally, I believe it takes too much time to learn how to use.

As for video editing software, I do not know.

Adobe is among the best when it comes to editing in both video and photo. There are three versions of Adobe Photoshop(Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended and Adobe Photoshop Elements). Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended are really expensive but Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 is not that much expensive. I mean it's affordable.

If you are a beginner in editing, then go with Adobe Photoshop Elements 8. It's a great program but it lacks some of advanced features from Photoshop CS4. If your editing is just for fun, then Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 is niche.

But I suggest you to try out the trial version before you buy. Adobe offers trials version for all of its programs.
