Adobe Flash plugin has crashed?

Every time I open a tab with a video player in it, the browser freezes for a few seconds as the page attempts to load and then I get the "Adobe Flash plugin crash" error. I tried a few things: I uninstalled Flash Player and tried to revert to a previous version, but that didn't work.

I also tried cleaning the registry. Free Window Registry Cleaner caught a bunch of errors, but not all of them. My hopes were dashed when RegInOut scanned successfully and told me that there were errors that could be fixed; it'll find errors for free, but I have to pay for it to actually fix them. I can afford it -- but I have no credit card, and thus no means to pay for it... Are there any other things I can try? Is there freeware out there that can clean a registry as well as RegInOut?
