I am creating some files for a flash for a website. It is a movie type with clickable areas (via transparent buttons).
I would like to keep these separate for versatility, however for publishing online, I want to be able to merge them into one file for the website.
This works great for the visuals, but it COMPLETELY strips all of the linking information.
I am using the method of exporting to a complete .swf and importing it.
All links are destroyed.
Is there a better way of doing this?
Does CS5 do this? (I'm using CS4)
It's not as bad as it could be since I'm only doing a very simple animation right now and one of them only has one button that can easily be duplicated by hand on a top layer.
However, for future use (especially since I work on these things cooperatively with someone else), I need to keep these files modular and versatile, so I will need a better solution.
Thank you for your help.
