I attend a prep school in the East Coast. However, my GPA is not so good (2.8). However, I take some AP and Honors courses. In our school, they don't do weighted GPA. Also a 3.0 in our school would be around 3.5 in the surrounding area (according to my college counselor).
Others:
1. SAT I - 1900
2. SAT II World History 640, SAT II Math 1C 690
3. Community Service 40 hours
4. AP Art in school (considered one of the top)
5. Well made portfolios (so far 8 but getting it up to 20), these are all college levels also.
6. Grandfather, a well known artist in Asia, created art museums and some institutes.
With a good essay and interview, would I be able to get into these schools?
Cornell University (Fine Arts), Carnegie Mellon (Fine Arts), Syracuse (Fine Arts), NYU (Fine Arts), Rutgers (Fine Arts), RISD, Parsons, SVA, Pratt etc.
