Are those OEM bars? I was thinking because they slope in top to bottom that regular pegs would slant down and was wondering what ones would work best. Are yours Kuryakyn? Doesn't look in your photos like they slope down too bad. I was thinking of getting the Dually longhorns with the adjustable male connection. If the slope isn't drastic, maybe the regular kit might suffice??? How do you find yours?
as far as i know they are oem bars. the po had them installed when he bought the bike from the dealer. yes they are the kuryakyn pegs. Yes they slope down a little but i think i can rotate them up. I lined the pegs up so the heel of my shoe or boot acutally rests on the brake pedal and shift pedal. works out pretty good. i do like these pegs. well made. but do not buy the shifter peg cover they call for. It does not work right. I called karyakyn and talked to a tech and we came up with something different to try. I have to cut my peg off and drill a hole in the shifter rod. i will be doing that today. wish me luck.
I hope you didn't drill the front peg yet because you don't need to. Get this one. You take off the rubber which I didn't cut because I pulled and twisted it until I got it off, wrap the metal peg of the shifter with electrical tape until snug and then glue on. Looks pretty good.
thanks captjaneway3 but that is the piece i had the first time. did not like the way it was to be installed. electrical tape around the shifter to bring up the diameter is not a good fix. besisdes i got glue everywhere and it did not hold that long. i did cut off the peg and fit the new one on. it does not look bad. just need to find a crome acorn nut and it will look a lot beter.
