My fiancee and I are purchasing a home with a FHA mortgage. When we started this process with our mortgage broker, my fiancee was going to be the only one on the loan and we would both be on the title. About a week after all the paper work was signed, our broker told us that because we were going with an FHA loan, I could not be on the title because I was not on the loan. He then told us that this was not a big deal because I could be added to the title once it had been recorder and a hardcopy was mailed to us. He said this would take 3-4 months and that since we would be married by then, it was nothing to worry about. This sounds a little sketchy to me. Before I go second guessing our broker and asking for this soultion in writing, I just want to make sure I am not over reacting. Isn't this mortgage fraud?
