Adding Bell TV to an apartment

I live in a 35 storey high-rise at Yonge and Eglinton. My unit is at the north-east corner of the building, so I can't mount my own satellite on my balcony. I called Bell and asked about a satellite on the roof, and they said they have nothing installed in the building.

The Bell customer service representative I spoke to indicated that they may install the necessary hardware someday, at which point they'll contact me. The building has approximately 330 units - that seems like a lot of potential subscribers. Does anyone have any experience with speeding this process up?

Contacting the Management Company, with a list of all the residents that are interested, so they can pressure Bell, may well be a starting point but don't hold your breath.....lol

You don't say who the current service provider is in the building. If it's Rogers, they have a pretty good channel offering in Toronto.

It is quite unlikely that if Rogers is already in a high rise that BTV would later be retrofit.

There is no problem installing a Nimiq 2 Stacked System many years after the building if constructed, same thing for VDSL or iPTV.

Every unit is cabled for Rogers. They've already sent me direct mail to inform me of their "great deals".

Maybe when Rogers rolls out new Cisco set-tops with a better IPG and MPEG-4, I'll consider it.

If it is set for Rogers, the Nimiq 2 Stacked system would be just fine for you.

Go round the building and get a list of names who would like Bell TV, then get management to contact Bell.
