I have an 04 civic. Trying to tap into cd player to add an aux input. I have 5 leads on the aux jack. rear left rear right front left front right and ground. I spliced into the speakers positive side. am I doing this right or do I need to go into both neg and positive? cuz its not working. I tested it without the ground..it should still work right?
my question is what wires do I tap into? Do I tap into them or do I cut them or bypass it. here is the pin layout.

I don't want a transponder and I don't want to spend any money on that little plastic box that converts everything for you. I know its possible cuz i have seen online stuff about it, but its just not detailed enough.
