adding a texting plan to your tmobile phone plan already?

okay so for christmas i wanted to ask for unlimited texting and im on my family tmobile plan which has like 6 family members since summer of 2009 and my plan ends summer of 2011 but i dk what plan it is but we dont have any texting at all...so how much would unlimited texting be? and how much are the other texting plans? if my dad adds texting to only my phone this december
