Good Evening All, I'm 23 and I have exercised as long as I can remeraber and have always been active. It has been 8 months since I have injured my lower back and can say I have tried everything I can think of. The pain is in my lower back radiating down my hips, legs, ankles, to feet. Supposedly I have one herniated disk at l4-l5, and a compressed L5-S1.

I've done with anti-inflams,PT,Going to try chiro now, 3 blocks(the latest with 2 injections at once). Nothing works.

My question is My neuro is recommending me for the prodisc saying in the perfect candidate, but at 23 will this last or cause problems before its my time, or make things more unbearable?

Hello - with the radiating pain doubtful chiropractic will help, it might inflame your symptoms more. There is radio frequency abalation if the shots had any affect - they usually don't last, but if you had any positive outcome from them then RF might be a good thing for pain control while you figure things out. At your age you should fix either my conventional surgery or by the prodisc because you are young and have a chance to make a positive impact on your situation.
