Activation for Continuum says Alltel when it should be Verizon?

I factory reset my Android 2.1 Samsung Continuum and now it wont Activate. Also in activation, since there are Alltels still in Georgia, it comes up as Alltel not Verizon. I bought the phone in SC but we moved to GA and never changed to the area code. Could that be the problem?
Is it trying to switch me to Alltel? Im okay with it if so because I loved Alltel when I had my first prepaid phone in Summer of 2009. Do they still have good service?
 
It could be but you may have to call verizon coustomer service and talk to them about it. Your device may be defective.

Im not sure because theres no alltel in ohio lol but i imagine their service is exelent because verizon bought alltel a few years ago and i have verizon too and i get really good service everywhere i go.
