I used Schmincke primer to prime 3 large canvases. I primed the canvas then lightly sanded it and started painting with acrylics on them. I worked for 3 months on my paintings 9 to 5. Then the acrylic started peeling off the Schmincke primer. I put mat medium on the Schmincke primer. That peeled off too! The bottle says the primer is good for acrylics and oils. I have used paint for 15 years. I am an art professor and professional studio artist. I have never seen something like this. It puts me back about $3000. I searched everywhere and only saw praise for Schmincke paints. Has anyone else had problems with this brand of paint or am I crazy?
