I wanted to make a jewelry box for my daughter. I bought the unfinished wood jewelry box from Michaels and wanted to paint it a white color. Only problem is, the first time I attempted this, the paint kept sticking. Like, once I finished painting the jewelry box and gave the paint a couple days to make sure it was fully dry, I closed it up. Well, in a couple hours when I would try to open it, the lid would be stuck to the box. I was told to try finishing it with a clear gloss, which ultimately did not fix the problem. Can any one tell me how to keep my paint from sticking once it's already dried?
