Hi Charlene,
removing pimples is most of the times a long road. It's all about choosing the right products for your skin type. Easiest way is to see a doctor (if you have really bad acne and nothing helps) or just visit a cosmetologist. They can tell you what kind of skin you have and recommend how to take care of the problems and explain why the problems occur. I highly recommend facials and/or if you have pimples on your back, they'll give "facial" to that area too. It really helps to have proper cleaning first before starting to treatment.
Pharmacy has a lot of recipe free lotions, cleansers etc for pimples to choose from. Ask personnel to help if you have troubles to choose from. And nowadays those products come also in all price range so even with small investment you can get really good products
What I've noticed to help me is plenty of water (drinking), lemon-sugar peeling as a home remedy (I have extremely oily skin), washing my face every day well with lacto-acid products (morning - evening), good moisturizers and tea tree products. Sometimes I get some locally used pimple-remover stick from the pharmacy or use facial masks etc.
The faster you seek help - the faster you get rid of pimples. I've had them for years, they come and go so I'm not 100% cured anyway, but I've learned to treat them in early stage so they don't come out almost at all. Once you start feeling one coming, start treating it locally to prevent it from becoming huge. That's when they dont' linger around for weeks but merely be gone in days
