apart from forking out for chemical peels (having already paid for one and not made much difference) is there any thing which REALLY works for adult acne scars - some are quite deep????

I hear great things about skin biology which do a range of topical products for acne scars which help to remove scar tissue and then use polypeptides to build up collagen to smooth out the scar. Apparently this works very well for acne scars as it is an ongoing process as opposed to a one off process or treatment.

I sound like a broken record but 2 products really helped my scars - Silkia camellia oil and Epidermx microdermabrasion cream. I have 5 pits on the forehead, about 2mm deep. After a little over a year's use the scars are smoothed out so much that I could hardly see them. I have another 3 scars immediately above my upper lip and they are not filled out as much, but look much smoother and I just need some concealer there.

As the above poster said, treating scars with topicals like these is an ongoing process but you will see results if you are patient.

I ordered the Silkia and Epdermx also. I really like the way the oil feels and looks on my skin. I haven't seen much from the scrub though. I continue to use it in the shower every morning. Still hoping to get the results Waterlily did. I have minor scarring on my cheeks from taking Accutane twice, but I would take it again in a heartbeat!

I've recently looked into Dermabrasion from a doctor near Philadelphia, Dr. Tim Greco. It will cost a lot of money if I decide to get it done, but he claims he can help me at least 50%. I have an over-under condition, in which he would take fat from my belly and inject it into my cheeks, then do dermabrasion right after. 2-hour procedure, $7500.
