It takes a lot of laser treatments for pitted scarring, even if it's not that deep. I don't know exactly how many treatments are needed, but I can say they most probably won't get rid of all the scarring if you go for less than 10 treatments. If money is no object, then certainly go for it.
For myself, I had acne scars that were about 2mm deep. I didn't use laser or any other surgical procedures. I just used 2 topical products, Epidermx microdermabrasion and Silkia camellia oil. My pits were almost completely filled in after one year. I can hardly see the scars nowadays. The only scars that have not filled in completely are those few above my upper lip but they look much better than before.
