Is it better to pop zits/pimples or just leave 'em alone?

Also has anyone else used that Proactive? I've been using it for about 4 weeks now and haven't seen the results they promote...
Any suggestions for stopping acne please, I've tried everything and I just can't get them to go away so what does everyone else use?

just leave them alone. i used to pop mine and they just got worse. ive been wanting to try proactive but i have a friend that says it doesnt work but i also have another friend that say it does work, i guess it just depends on the type of skin you have. people tell me to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and it should help. also you may want to try putting toothpaste on the pimple at night and washing it off in the morning, it helps mine a little. People also tell me to use hot water to rinse my face, dab a little bit of alcohol on the pimple and put ice on it. I havent tried it yet but im going to. Oh and lay off the junk food if you eat it. Try not stress either, it just makes pimples worse. You can also try Witch Hazel, it smells awful but it clears up my pimples quickly! Just take a cotton ball and smear it all over your face, it really does work! Hope this helps =)

If you really need to pop the pimple, make sure your hands are CLEAN! Wash your face and hands after your done and only pop it if it looks like its ready (yellow head).

I struggled with acne a few years ago so hopefully I can help you because I definatly understand!

With proactive, it didn't work for me, a lot of people are actually allergic or sensitive to the benzol chemical in it. So don't worry, I suggest you get your money back.

First things first is to go to the doctors, you may not think it's bad enough for that, but a professional always helps and knows whats best and if your acne worries you a lot and gets worse noticably, your doctor will probably put you on antibiotics. If they come back after antibiotics then go back to the doctor, it's a long process but their a lot of things you can try out avaliable to you with a doctors perscription.

A final solution is to get a referral to a dermatologist, the reeaaal skin guys. See if they can help you out, It may sound like a hassle but believe me, its worth it because you wouldnt want to have acne as a full grown adult. I went to a dermatologist and was put on a strong pill (only because my skin was bad enough) that cleared them up and now my face is clearer then most people I know. It was worth it, trust me.

I hope you can find a solution!!!
