acne like bumps on scalp

My girlfriend has been popping these zit-like bumps on my scalp for a week or so, they have been there for a few years, on and off, and i cant seem to get them to go away. i shower at least once a day somtimes more. i am a very clean person so this is driving me crazy, the bumps are very very very sore and when she pops them, a light yellow puss comes out, nothing solid, just the puss. a scab will form and become sore as well but there are maybe fifty of them on the top-back of my scalp. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! thanks for your time:confused:
 
Could be the shampoo you're using. Which brand do you use? A lot of shampoos and conditions contain a very popular ingredient called SLS (sodium laureth sulphate) which is a cheap chemical that can irritate the skin, it is also used in almost every commercial face soap/cleansers. I would try switching shampoos and make sure you read the ingredients. Try something with Tea Tree. They have organic hair care at the health food stores.

I bet that is what is causing the bumps.
 
I get bumps on my head occasionally --- typically resulting from haircuts or not changing my pillow cases often. I've found warm compresses to be the best treatment for scalp bumps. Just pop a little face towel in the microwave, then apply it to the affected area. If the bumps are whitehead-like, they'll respond quickly to warm compresses, usually subsiding in a day or two.

Change your pillow cases often and do apply warm compresses.
 
ar you sure they're zits? Could they be oil-gland deposits that are more like a small lump, than a pimple? If so, they can be drained by your doctor (my dad had this done, but his were bigger than your average zits).
