Hi everyone this is my first post i have been reading around a little bit before posting but have my own questions.
I am 21 I have taken solodyn, adoxa, and accutane pills prescribed by my doctor, and use topical gels, such as Retin-A, epiduo, differin.
Info about me is I took accutane when i was 17,18 i believe and it did wonders for me i would get the occasional zit every now and then randomly. After i stopped accutane, i still rarely got the random zit. after about 6 months i would get more than one zit here and there and i could handle that then after a year i started to get a few more and then the cysts!! and so it continued over the years. The weird part is i almost never had acne on my shoulders chest and back. About a year ago, my shoulders never got real bad or my back, for some reason my chest got extremely bad, people will get maybe one or 2 cysts on their chests, but not me i have several around 8 as of today all in the center of my chest in between my pecs on my sternum scattered around. They are extremely annoying and can be very painful. My doctor is still prescribing me adoxa (doxycycline) but has also mentioned about me going back on accutane.
My question is ive been seeing the commercials for proactiv, or clear skin Id or the other branRAB and thinking of trying one of those since its money back guarantee, or if I should go back on accutane. I am leaning more towarRAB accutane, but am also concerned becuase I am in college so yes i do consume alcohol. If i take accutane, am I really not allowed to consume any alcohol at all?? my doctor says i shouldnt cause hes a doctor and tells me how its a posion and what not stuff I already know, but in reality can I consume alcohol still but not in such large amounts? as well as taking accutane again do you think it would completely clear up the cysts on my body?
