I'm 20 and have a lot of acne. I went to a dermatologist and she gave me two creams (one is a gel to put on at night, and the other is a benzoyl peroxide gel to put on in the morning). The first two days of using them I had no problems, on the third day my face started to itch a lot and the next day it was burning and very painful, so I washed the cream off and just stayed in bed all day holding ice on my face. I waited two days to use the cream again, and now my skin isn't really burning or itching but is very tight, dry and is flaking. My skin is so stiff that if I even smile it will flake all around my mouth area.
I really am not sure what to do, should I try using the creams every other day? Am I having a bad reaction?
